Projectiles fire inward from all directions, and you rotate your shield to block them, protecting the core. Different projectile types demand different responses — standard shots are blocked normally, piercing beams require sustained shielding, and EMP pulses must be dodged by rotating your shield away. Score points for every blocked projectile and build combo chains for consecutive blocks. As waves progress, attacks come from multiple directions simultaneously, forcing split-second decisions about which threats to prioritize. Neon Shield flips the script on shooters — defense is your only offense.
Keep your shield moving toward the densest cluster of incoming projectiles. Learn to identify projectile types by color: standard (white), piercing (red, hold shield), EMP (purple, dodge). Combo chains are where real points come from — try to block every shot in a wave for massive multipliers. When projectiles come from opposite sides simultaneously, block the faster ones and let the slower ones hit (you can usually tank one hit). Anticipate attack patterns — most waves follow a clockwise or counterclockwise sweep that you can follow. The shield's rotation speed is fixed, so position preemptively rather than chasing projectiles reactively.
